Description
Nasu-dake is a volcanic group on Japan’s Tochigi–Fukushima border, with Sanbonyari-dake (1,917 m) its highest point. Chausu-dake is an active cone readily reached by ropeway. Walks range from a short crater visit to longer outings through Asahi and Sanbonyari. Toge-no-Chaya parking is distinct from the Mine-no-Chaya-ato saddle hut, where strong winds are a concern. The official traverse finishes at Komadome Falls, requiring different return logistics from an out-and-back hike.
