Tidak ada pos pendakian maupun tiket resmi untuk bukitnya. Akses melewati kebun dan permukiman warga Desa Candirenggo — pamit kepada warga setempat dan tanyakan arah karena penunjuk jalan minim.

Batu kapur licin dan tajam, tebing serta lubang gua khas kawasan karst, jalur tidak bertanda, aliran sungai yang bisa naik cepat saat hujan di hulu.

Description

Gunung Durenrenteng — usually called Bukit Durenrenteng in local sources — is a low limestone hill in Candirenggo village, Ayah district, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, close to the boundary with Tlogosari village. It belongs to the Southern Gombong Karst Area; the Kebumen regency government lists it alongside Bukit Peok and Bukit Endrakila as karst summits of the village, a landscape characterised by numerous caves and underground rivers. Durenrenteng is not a climbing objective: it is better known as a headwater — the stream feeding Curug Leses rises on this hill, and that waterfall, together with nearby Curug Gemawang and Gua Petruk, is what draws visitors. The name Durenrenteng also attaches to a cave in Candirenggo. Access is normally from the national road towards Jatijajar Cave–Petruk Cave–Logending Beach, then through Candirenggo village past SDN 2 Candirenggo to Curug Gemawang before climbing to Curug Leses. Data is thin and the elevation figure needs care: a Kebumen government article gives 234 m, while a global digital elevation model returns about 208 m at the OpenStreetMap summit point — itself an NGA-GNS gazetteer import rather than a field survey. No trip reports or official trail to the summit have been found.
