Description

The Westweg is a historic long-distance trail of about 285 km across the Black Forest, running south from Pforzheim toward Basel. Marked with a red diamond, it was established in 1900 and remains one of the region's best-known hiking routes. Hikers commonly divide it into 11–14 stages, choosing either the western or eastern variant south of Titisee. The route crosses forest, high moorland, and the Black Forest's highest summit, Feldberg, with roughly 7,900 metres of cumulative ascent.
