Description
The South Downs Way links Winchester with Eastbourne over roughly 160 km through South Downs National Park in southern England. It follows chalk ridges and rural tracks, with the eastern walking route crossing the Seven Sisters before reaching Eastbourne. The six-to-seven-day range reflects the two linked trip accounts rather than a required schedule; allow longer for shorter stages. Low altitude does not remove the challenge of repeated climbs or exposure to wind and rain.
