Description
The Rinjani Summit Trek is Indonesia's most coveted multi-day trek, circling and climbing Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) on Lombok. The classic Sembalun–Senaru traverse climbs a long ridge to Plawangan, a pre-dawn sandy summit push, then descends into the caldera holding Segara Anak lake, the Baru Jari cone and hot springs. The 2–4 day journey demands strong fitness due to the sandy ridge-edge trail. It is managed by Mount Rinjani National Park via the eRinjani booking system.
Trail Highlights
The Sembalun ridge, Plawangan (the caldera rim), Segara Anak lake and the Baru Jari cone, hot springs, and the sandy summit attack to the 3,726 m peak.
