Description
The Kerry Way is a circular long-distance trail that starts and finishes in Killarney, circling the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry. It is commonly walked in nine stages and passes through the Killarney area, Black Valley, Glenbeigh, Cahersiveen, Waterville, Caherdaniel, Sneem, and Kenmare. The route alternates among woodland, mountain valleys, exposed hill paths, and local roads; some sections have long gaps between accommodation options. Its highest point is Windy Gap at about 385 metres, so weather and logistics still deserve careful planning despite the modest elevation.
