Description
The Great Ocean Walk is a one-way coastal trek of about 104 km in Victoria, Australia, running from Apollo Bay to the iconic Twelve Apostles rock formations. Opened in 2006, it threads through Great Otway National Park and Port Campbell National Park, blending towering Southern Ocean cliffs, sandy beaches, mountain-ash forest, and the Cape Otway Lighthouse standing since 1848. It is usually walked over eight days, using seven hike-in campsites that must be booked in advance through Parks Victoria. Along the way walkers may spot koalas, wallabies, echidnas, and — between June and September — whales offshore, making it one of Australia's most iconic coastal trails.
Trail Highlights
Menyusuri tebing pesisir Samudra Selatan yang dramatis, hutan mountain ash, Mercusuar Cape Otway (1848), situs bangkai kapal dan fosil dinosaurus 105 juta tahun, satwa liar koala dan wallaby, hingga berakhir di formasi batu ikonik Twelve Apostles.
