Description
The Druk Path Trek is one of Bhutan's most popular and accessible treks, running about 54 km to link the Paro valley with the capital Thimphu across the Paro and Thimphu districts. Though relatively short and usually completed in 4–6 days, much of the route stays above 3,500 m with a high point around 4,210 m, so acclimatisation matters. Trekkers cross mountain ridges, blue-pine and rhododendron forest, and a chain of clear alpine lakes such as Jimilang Tsho and Simkotra Tsho, with distant views of Himalayan peaks including Gangkhar Puensum. As with all Bhutan trekking, it can only be done through a licensed operator with official permits and the Sustainable Development Fee; the best seasons are spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November).
Trail Highlights
Trek klasik pendek yang menghubungkan Paro dan Thimphu melewati punggungan tinggi, hutan pinus biru dan rhododendron, rangkaian danau alpine jernih (Jimilang Tsho, Simkotra Tsho), dzong kuno, serta panorama Himalaya termasuk Gangkhar Puensum — gunung tak terdaki tertinggi di dunia.
