Waldemar Niclevicz (born 1966 in Foz do Iguaçu) is Brazil's most experienced mountaineer. With Mozart Catão he became the first Brazilian to summit Everest in May 1995 and the first Brazilian to complete the Seven Summits in 1997. He has climbed 7 of the 14 eight-thousanders, all 82 4,000-metre Alpine peaks and more than 300 high mountains worldwide, and also works as a writer, photographer and speaker.
