Tom Ballard (16 October 1988 – February/March 2019) was a British rock climber and alpinist, son of the celebrated mountaineer Alison Hargreaves. In the winter of 2014-2015 he became the first person to solo all six great north faces of the Alps — including the Matterhorn, Eiger and Grandes Jorasses — in a single season, a link-up he called "Starlight and Storm". He disappeared with his climbing partner Daniele Nardi during bad weather on Nanga Parbat, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, in February 2019; his body was found on the Mummery Spur on 9 March 2019.
