Steve House is an American alpinist, mountain guide, and author. He won the 2006 Piolet d'Or, notably for his ascent of the Rupal Face on Nanga Parbat. After a serious accident in 2010 he stepped back from hard climbing to share his training knowledge; he wrote the influential book "Training for the New Alpinism" and runs Uphill Athlete, providing training resources for mountain athletes.
