Sajid Ali Sadpara

Pakistan

Pakistani high-altitude climber, son of the late Ali Sadpara, and the first Pakistani to summit Everest without supplemental oxygen.

Sajid Ali Sadpara is a high-altitude mountaineer from Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, and the son of the legendary climber Muhammad Ali Sadpara. He has summited a string of 8,000-metre peaks — K2 (2021), Gasherbrum II (2022), Manaslu (2022), Annapurna (2023), Everest (May 2023) and Nanga Parbat (2023) — many without supplemental oxygen. He is the first Pakistani to reach the summit of Everest without supplemental oxygen or Sherpa support. In 2023 he led a team to clean a section of K2 in memory of his father, who died on the mountain during the 2021 winter expedition.
