Phurba Tashi Sherpa (born 1971) is a Sherpa mountaineer from Khumjung, Nepal, known for dozens of ascents of the great Himalayan peaks. In May 2013 he tied the record of 21 Everest summits then held by Apa Sherpa — a mark later surpassed by Kami Rita Sherpa. Beyond Everest he has climbed Manaslu eight times, Cho Oyu six times, plus Lhotse and Shishapangma, making him one of the most accomplished high-altitude guides in the world.
