Peter Edmund Hillary (born 26 December 1954) is a New Zealand mountaineer and philanthropist, son of Sir Edmund Hillary. He and his father were the first father-son pair to summit Everest (1990); he has summited Everest twice and completed the Seven Summits on 19 June 2008 atop Denali.
