Mingma Sherpa (born 16 June 1978) is a Nepali mountaineer from Makalu Village in Sankhuwasabha district. On 20 May 2011 he became the first Nepali and first South Asian to scale all 14 eight-thousanders, setting a world record by summiting each of them on his first attempt. With his brother Chhang Dawa Sherpa he holds the Guinness World Record as the first two brothers to complete the 14 eight-thousanders; together they founded the expedition operator Seven Summit Treks.
