Renowned Italian alpinist and president of the Ragni di Lecco, known for minimalist 'by fair means' expeditions in Patagonia, Greenland, and the Karakoram.

Matteo Della Bordella (born 4 July 1984, Varese) is an Italian alpinist who left an academic career (PhD in engineering) to devote himself fully to mountaineering. He is known for a 'clean alpinism' philosophy — minimal gear, no fixed ropes, leaving no trace — with a string of bold first ascents in Patagonia (Torre Egger, Cerro Murallón), Greenland (partly reached by kayak), and the Karakoram. Since 2018 he has served as president of the storied Ragni di Lecco climbing club.
