Pendaki amputee ganda pertama di dunia yang mencapai puncak Everest (15 Mei 2006), mendaki dengan kaki prostesis serat karbon setelah kehilangan kedua kaki akibat radang beku di Aoraki/Mount Cook.
Mark Inglis (born 1 April 1959 in Nelson, New Zealand) is a mountaineer, winemaker, and motivational speaker who lost both legs below the knee to frostbite after being trapped in an ice cave on Aoraki/Mount Cook for 14 days in a blizzard in 1982. Despite his amputations he continued competing at the highest level, winning a silver medal in cycling at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics. On 15 May 2006 he became the first double amputee to summit Mount Everest, climbing on carbon-fibre prosthetic legs, and is widely recognised as a global inspiration for adaptive athletes.
