Marc-André Leclerc was a Canadian rock, ice, and mixed climber and alpinist known for solo ascents — often in winter — of major ice and alpine routes. In 2016 he made the first winter solo ascents of both Torre Egger in Patagonia and the Emperor Face of Mount Robson in British Columbia. He died in 2018 while climbing the Mendenhall Towers in Alaska. His life is the subject of the documentary film "The Alpinist" (2021).
