Kim Hong-bin

First disabled person to climb all 14 of the world's 8,000-metre peaks, having lost all his fingers.

Kim Hong-bin (1964–2021) was a South Korean mountaineer and skier who lost all his fingers to frostbite on Denali in 1991. On 18 July 2021 he summited Broad Peak (8,051 m), becoming the first disabled person to climb all 14 eight-thousanders. He fell into a crevasse during the descent and is presumed dead.
