Japanese alpinist and three-time Piolet d'Or winner who died on K2's west face in July 2024 alongside Kazuya Hiraide.

Takeo "Kenro" Nakajima (19 October 1984 – 27 July 2024) was a Japanese alpinist and mountain cameraman from Nara Prefecture. With his long-time partner Kazuya Hiraide he won the 2018 Piolet d'Or for the first ascent of Shispare's northeast face and the 2020 award for Rakaposhi (7,788 m); a third came in 2024. Nakajima climbed six of the Seven Summits and three eight-thousanders — Cho Oyu, Manaslu and Everest — plus numerous first ascents across the Himalaya and Karakoram. He died in July 2024 attempting a new alpine-style line on K2's west face.
