Kei Taniguchi (1972-2015) was a Japanese alpine mountaineer. In 2009 she became the first woman to win the Piolet d'Or award, for the first ascent of the Southeast Face of Kamet (7,756 m) in India with Kazuya Hiraide. She also made the first ascent of the North Face of Shivling (2005) and summited Everest in 2007.
