Swedish mountaineer and adventurer (1966–2002) who in 1996 cycled 13,000 km from Stockholm to Nepal, soloed Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen or Sherpa support on May 23, 1996, and then cycled back to Europe. This self-contained expedition is chronicled in his book 'Ultimate High'. Kropp died in a rock-climbing accident in Washington State, USA, in 2002.
