Fatima Deryan (Kuwaiti-born, of Lebanese nationality) is a mountaineer who became the first Lebanese woman to summit Mount Everest on 22 May 2019, and the second person from Lebanon to do so after Maxime Chaya. She has completed six of the Seven Summits, including Denali, Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Carstensz Pyramid, Aconcagua and Everest. Her story is frequently cited as a symbol of Arab women's mountaineering.
