Seaborn Beck Weathers (born 16 December 1946) is an American pathologist from Texas and one of the best-known survivors of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster. Caught in a storm during Rob Hall's Adventure Consultants expedition, he was twice left for dead near the South Col but regained consciousness and walked back to camp with severe frostbite that later cost part of his hands and nose. His ordeal features in Jon Krakauer's Into Thin Air, the film Everest (2015), and his own memoir Left for Dead: My Journey Home from Everest (2000).
