Anshu Jamsenpa (born 1979, Arunachal Pradesh, India) is an Indian mountaineer of the Monpa community who broke two world records simultaneously: the first woman to summit Everest twice in a single season, and achieving this in the shortest possible interval — just 5 days apart (16 and 21 May 2017). With five total Everest summits, she holds the record for the most Everest ascents by an Indian woman. She was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2021 for her achievements and contributions to mountaineering.
