Description

The Zuckerhütl (3,507 m) is the highest peak of the Stubai Alps in Tyrol, Austria, lying entirely in North Tyrol near the South Tyrol border at the southern end of the Stubai Valley. Its name literally means 'little sugarloaf', referring to its conical summit. As the roof of the Stubai region it is a classic high-alpine glacier tour (Hochtour): the normal route usually starts from the Hildesheimer Hut, crosses the Sulzenau Glacier (Sulzenauferner) roped up, ascends via the Pfaffensattel, and finishes on a short, steep rock summit block often protected with fixed aids. Because it is still capped by an active glacier, the climb requires glacier equipment, rope technique, and awareness of crevasses and rockfall. Beyond summer, the Zuckerhütl is also a popular spring ski-touring objective from the Stubai glacier area. The peak features on the local tourism 'Seven Summits of Stubai' list.

Routes

Normalweg dari Hildesheimer Hütte (via Pfaffensattel)

PD (Peu Difficile); penyeberangan gletser bertali + bagian puncak berbatu curam hingga UIAA I–II
2 hari (menginap di Hildesheimer Hütte 2.899 m; summit pulang-pergi ±5–7 jam)

The normal and most common route, starting from the Hildesheimer Hut. It crosses the Sulzenau Glacier (Sulzenauferner) roped up, ascends to the Pfaffensattel, then finishes over a short, steep summit rock often protected with fixed aids. Requires glacier equipment (crampons, ice axe, rope) and crevasse-crossing technique.

Skitour musim semi dari kawasan gletser Stubai

Ski tour berat (bagian puncak tetap perlu crampon/kapak es; kemiringan curam)
1 hari panjang (ski tour; waktu tergantung titik start & kondisi lift gletser)

A popular spring variant: approaching the Zuckerhütl by ski tour from the Stubai glacier area, then topping out over the final rock/ice section on crampons. It demands glacier ski-touring skill and avalanche judgement.
