- Keamanan lebih menonjol daripada kesulitan teknis: perampokan bersenjata pernah dilaporkan di jalur standar. Description
Volcán de Agua (3,760 m) is a gracefully conical dormant stratovolcano that dominates the Antigua, Guatemala skyline. The Maya called it Hunahpu and held it sacred; the name "Agua" (water) followed a 16th-century mudflow that destroyed the old capital Ciudad Vieja. The ascent is non-technical up steep slopes from the village of Santa María de Jesús, though the summit rim is now studded with communications towers — even a football pitch — and on clear mornings offers panoramas reaching the Pacific Ocean and Guatemala's chain of volcanoes.

Routes
Rute Normal via Santa María de Jesús
Sedang–BeratStandard non-technical route from Santa María de Jesús (~2,000 m): a long, steep climb through fields then forest to the summit crater at 3,760 m, whose rim is covered with communications towers. Registration at the town tourism office is required and a registered guide is strongly advised for safety.
SourceClimbing Experiences
Volcán de Agua is usually done as a demanding day hike from the village of Santa María de Jesús (~2,000 m): about 4–5 hours of steep climbing through fields and forest to the summit crater at 3,760 m, then 2–3 hours down. Climbers highlight the relentless ascent, the cold summit, the antenna towers and pitch on the crater rim, and sweeping views to the Pacific Ocean and the volcanoes around Antigua. A recurring note across reports: go with a registered guide via the town's check-in system for safety.
