Description
Uruk Maresi is a hill in the highlands of North Sumatra province, Indonesia. The word "uruk" means hill in the Batak language. Its summit stands at about 1,356 metres above sea level — roughly 64 metres above the surrounding terrain — with a base about 1.3 km wide, set in a hilly landscape that is largely cultivated farmland. The highest nearby summit is Uruk Murba (1,895 m), about 5.8 km to the north-east. The climate is tropical highland, with an average temperature around 19 °C and annual rainfall of about 2,918 mm. Documentation for this hill is very limited: it is indexed in geographic databases (GeoNames) and Wikidata, with no verified hiking route or tourism information, so the description here is confined to its location, elevation, climate, and surrounding terrain.
