Description

The Uluguru Mountains belong to Tanzania’s Eastern Arc near Morogoro. Wikidata records 2,630 m for the range; Bondwa and Lupanga are distinct hiking destinations. Bondwa is approached through Morningside, while the Lupanga trail starts at the end of Forest Hill Road. Travel accounts include camping and summit attempts abandoned when rain arrived. The forests are important for biodiversity and water catchments.

A walk from the Rock Garden trailhead along a wide dirt road to the Choma Waterfalls, then up to Morningside — a former German colonial settlement often used as an overnight base before continuing to Bondwa or Lupanga.
