Description
Uludağ (~2,543 m) is the highest peak of the Marmara Region, rising just south of the city of Bursa in northwestern Turkey. In antiquity it was known as the Mysian/Bithynian Olympus and later Keşiş Dağı ("Mountain of the Monks"); in the republican era it was renamed Uludağ, meaning "great mountain". The area was declared Uludağ National Park in 1961 and is today Turkey's most-visited national park and its premier ski destination. An iconic feature is the roughly 9 km cable car (teleferik) from Bursa, stopping at Kadıyayla and then Sarıalan (~1,635 m) before the hotel/ski zone. In summer Uludağ is a haven for trekking, camping, and picnics, with trails ranging from gentle (e.g. Sarıalan–Çobankaya) to long, climbing summit routes. Its roughly 40 km-long massif holds rich biodiversity — hundreds of plant species (many endemic to Turkey) and fauna such as brown bears, wolves, and roe deer.

Routes
Teleferik Bursa → Sarıalan + Jalan Kaki ke Zona Puncak
Mudah–sedang (mayoritas kereta gantung, sisanya jalan kaki)The most popular way up: ride the roughly 9 km cable car (teleferik) from Teferrüç station in Bursa, stopping at Kadıyayla and then Sarıalan (~1,635 m), before continuing to the hotel/ski zone (Oteller). From the top, visitors can walk marked trails and area roads to the high meadows and the area near the summit. Ideal for a day trip from Bursa; in winter this zone becomes the ski hub.
SourceTrek Puncak Zirve dari Zona Hotel (Oteller)
Sedang–berat (jalur panjang, beda tinggi cukup besar, cuaca berubah)For walkers aiming for Uludağ's true summit (~2,543 m): from the hotel/ski zone, trails climb through high meadows and forest toward the ridge and summit (Zirve/Kartaltepe). There are several options — from short forested loops to long ridge-style treks with significant elevation gain and wide panoramas. Weather can turn misty quickly, so marked trails, a map/GPS, and warm layers matter. Summer (June–September) is the most suitable trekking season.
