Description
Tubu Kuaken is a hill in East Nusa Tenggara Province, in southeastern Indonesia (western Timor Island), about 2,000 km east of Jakarta. According to GeoNames and the digital elevation model (Viewfinder Panoramas) cited by Wikipedia, its summit is about 388 m above sea level and rises roughly 49 m above the surrounding terrain, with a base some 0.85 km wide. The land around it is varied and forested in the lower eastern part; the nearest higher point is Nuuf Lapeom (745 m), about 8.2 km to the north. The nearest larger town is Kefamenanu (seat of North Central Timor Regency), about 14.4 km to the northwest. The region has the dry climate typical of Timor. No climbing routes, summit photos, or ascent accounts are documented in open sources, so this profile is limited to verified geographic data.
