Description
Tor Adiantol Ping ("tor" means hill or mountain in the Batak language) is a hill about 1,210 m above sea level in North Sumatra Province, roughly 1,300 km north-west of Jakarta. Its summit rises about 153 m above the surrounding terrain, with a base some 2.8 km wide. The land around it is generally hilly but flattens to the south-east; the nearest higher point is Dolok Ginjang (1,525 m), about 5.8 km to the south. The area is fairly populated (around 83 people/km²) and almost entirely forested. Its climate is tropical rainforest: mean temperature about 19 °C (warmest in April at ~20 °C, coolest in February at ~18 °C) and annual rainfall around 3,205 mm, wettest in November and driest in June. Data for this feature is very limited and drawn from topographic databases (GeoNames/SRTM) and Wikidata—no climbing route is recorded, and the information here is deliberately confined to verified facts.
