Description

Telica is a Nicaraguan stratovolcano in the Cordillera de los Maribios, with a Wikidata elevation of 1,061 m. Its crater is active; an occasional red glow should not be interpreted as a guaranteed view of open flowing lava. A short approach using vehicle access differs from the long trek through San Jacinto. Operators based in León offer sunrise, sunset and overnight trips. Trip duration depends on the starting point, weather and volcanic activity at departure.
