Description
Täschhorn (4,491 m) stands in Switzerland’s Mischabel group in the Pennine Alps, between Alphubel and Dom. The normal Mischabelgrat route starts at the Mischabeljoch bivouac. Its first ascent was recorded on 30 July 1862 via the Kin Face. Continuing to Dom is a demanding alpine traverse in its own right. Hannah Vickers’s July 2022 account shows how strong winds can prevent that continuation even after reaching Täschhorn.

Routes
Kin Face (dinding barat-laut) — rute pendakian pertama
AD+ (Wikipedia, merujuk / citing Martin Moran)A snow-and-ice line on the northwest face, used for the first ascent in 1862. Access across the lower Kingletscher is awkward; the route account requires good snow cover on the upper face.

Pendakian alpine teknis / Technical alpine climbFrom the Mischabeljoch bivouac, ascend the Mischabelgrat on rock and firn. Return to the bivouac, then descend over the Weingartengletscher to Täschalp. The descent time covers the valley return, rather than only the bivouac.

Lintasan alpine menuntut / Demanding alpine traverseFrom Täschhorn’s summit, descend to the Domjoch and climb Dom’s south ridge. The 4–6-hour estimate assumes normal conditions and good weather; the route has no easy escape.
SourceClimbing Experiences
This collection covers southeast-ridge videos, the Täschhorn–Dom traverse and the Mischabel massif. Hannah Vickers adds a written account of reaching Täschhorn and abandoning the continuation to Dom because of wind.
