Description
Taruik Oesega is a low hill on the island of Timor, in East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, standing about 70 m above sea level and rising only some 24 m above the surrounding terrain. According to the GEOnet gazetteer, the land to the northwest is relatively flat while the southeast is hilly. The nearest sizeable town is Atambua, about 13.3 km to the east, placing the hill in eastern West Timor within Belu Regency, not far from the Timor-Leste border; the nearest higher summit is Taruik Tuntuni (~711 m) about 8.9 km to the east.
