Description
Tangkuban Parahu is an active stratovolcano about 20 km north of Bandung city, on the border of Subang and West Bandung regencies in West Java. Standing 2,086 m tall, its distinctive overturned-boat silhouette is one of West Java's most iconic sights. Visitors can walk to the rim of Kawah Ratu crater to observe hot springs and boiling mud. The volcano has erupted numerous times, most recently in July 2019.

Routes
Kawasan kawah wisata (Kawah Ratu / Kawah Domas)
Sangat ringan (wisata)The most popular tourist route: vehicles can approach the rim of Kawah Ratu, followed by short walks along the crater edge and down to Kawah Domas with its hot springs and boiling mud. Managed as a paid nature-tourism park; keep a safe distance from crater gas.
SourcePuncak Upas via Sukawana (Trek 11)
Ringan–sedang (tektok)The main hiking route to the true high point, Puncak Upas (Upas Hill, ~2,084 m), from the Sukawana side known to hikers as 'Trek 11'. It climbs steadily through montane forest and the iconic mossy tunnel before reaching the summit area. Suited to a day hike; an early start is advised.
SourceClimbing Experiences
Tangkuban Parahu accounts split in two: the easily accessible crater-tourism side (Kawah Ratu, Kawah Upas, Kawah Domas) and the hiking side to the true high point, Puncak Upas (Upas Hill, ~2,084 m), via the Sukawana / 'Trek 11' route. Recurring vlog themes: relatively short time estimates for a fast hike, the exotic yet foggy 'mossy tunnel', the Emen ascent, plus practical notes on tickets, informal fees on parts of the trail, and the value of an early start before fog and crater gas thicken.
