Description

Taitaikabilau is a named hill on Siberut Island in the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra, recorded in geographic databases (Wikidata Q25299857, whose coordinates match this map node, sourced from the GeoNames gazetteer). Specific data about the hill is very limited: there is no recorded official elevation, no ascent accounts, and no documented trail. Notably, Taitaikabilau is NOT the highest point of Siberut — sources give the island's highpoint a different name, Taitaibeuleleu (about 344 m), so the island's maximum elevation must not be attributed to this hill. Siberut itself is the largest of the Mentawai Islands — a non-volcanic island of uplifted sedimentary rock, recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with Siberut National Park, rich rainforest, endemic primates, and the culture of the indigenous Mentawai people. This profile is deliberately kept short and honest: all that can be verified is Taitaikabilau's existence as a minor hill within the Siberut area, with island/rainforest context as background rather than peak-specific data.
