Description

Salkantay (6,271 m) is the second highest peak in the Cusco region and one of the most sacred mountains for the Inca people — revered as the 'Apu protector' of Machu Picchu. Its trekking route crossing Salkantay Pass (4,650 m) was named by National Geographic as one of the world's top treks.

Routes

Pendakian Puncak Teknis (6 Hari)

Sangat berat
+2371 m 5–6 hari

Climbing Experiences

Salkantay (6,271 m), the 'Savage Mountain' in Quechua, offers two distinct experiences: a 5-day trek to Machu Picchu via Salkantay Pass (4,650 m) — one of Peru's most popular trails — and a technical summit climb of its glaciated peak reached only dozens of times. Climbers report challenging glacier terrain, unpredictable weather, and breathtaking views of the Cordillera Vilcabamba from the top.
