Description

Punta La Marmora (1,834 m), also called Perdas Carpìas, is Sardinia’s highest summit in the Gennargentu mountains. Named after geographer Alberto Ferrero della Marmora, it lies within the territories of Desulo and Arzana. Ancient rocks, valleys and mountain vegetation shape the surrounding landscape. Walking approaches are available from Bruncu Spina ski station and the S’Arena area near Tascusì. On clear days the summit overlooks much of the island’s coastline.

Climbing Experiences

Five Italian videos introduce Punta La Marmora as Sardinia’s highest summit. Van a pian adds a concrete route choice: traverse from Bruncu Spina station on the outward leg and return down the ski slopes. Their recorded time describes that outing rather than a guaranteed duration for every walker.
