Description
Pasir Raja is a small hill within Mekar Sari village, Cikalongkulon district, Cianjur Regency, West Java, Indonesia. In Sundanese, "pasir" means a hill, so Pasir Raja literally means the "great/principal hill" to local people, not a stretch of sand. Its summit lies at roughly 488 m above sea level (digital-elevation-model estimate), among the Cikalongkulon hills in the northern part of Cianjur Regency, an area known for its rolling hills and several small "gunung pasir." Note that this place is distinct from Pasir Raja in Terengganu, Malaysia. The hill is recorded as a named peak in the NGA-GNS toponym database and OpenStreetMap; as yet there is no official trail, surveyed elevation, or verified climbing account. Available information is limited to its location and administrative context.
