Description

Pasir Pining is a small hill within Batutumpang village, Tegalwaru district, Purwakarta Regency, West Java, Indonesia. In Sundanese, "pasir" means a hill or high mound (not sand), a naming convention very common in Purwakarta, where the local archives office records dozens of place names beginning with "pasir" that mark hills. Its summit lies at roughly 390 m above sea level (digital-elevation-model estimate), among the Tegalwaru hills on the southern side of the Jatiluhur reservoir and near the better-known Gunung Parang. The hill is recorded as a named peak in the NGA-GNS toponym database and OpenStreetMap, but there is as yet no documented official trail, surveyed elevation, or verified climbing account. Available data is limited to its location and administrative context.
