Description
Pasir Nagrog is a hill in the highlands of West Java, Indonesia, rising to about 691 m above sea level and standing roughly 96 m above the surrounding terrain. In Sundanese, 'pasir' means hill. It lies about 60 km southeast of Jakarta; the nearest town is Ciranjang-hilir about 18 km to the southeast, placing the hill broadly within Kabupaten Cianjur. According to gazetteer data, the surrounding land is mostly hilly but flattens toward the southeast, and the area is almost entirely forested with a tropical climate (mean temperature around 23 °C and rainfall around 3,326 mm per year); the highest point nearby is an unnamed elevation of about 2,700 m some 20 km to the southwest. Data note: the gazetteer sources give inconsistent elevations (main text 691 m, infobox 595 m); an open digital-elevation model (Open-Meteo/DEM) at the coordinates returns about 681 m, so ~691 m is used as an approximation. Information on Pasir Nagrog is very limited—the entry derives from global geographic databases (NGA-GNS/GeoNames), Wikidata, and a bot-generated Cebuano Wikipedia article, with no documented hiking route, history, or protected-area status. The data here is confined to verifiable location, elevation, and terrain, not a climbing guide.
