Description
Pasir Cipari is a low hill in Banten province, Indonesia, at roughly 6.422°S 106.388°E — about 60 km west of Jakarta. The word "pasir" is a Sundanese toponymic element meaning a hill or ridge, not a sand flat. According to digital-elevation-model (DEM) data compiled by the GeoNames/NGA-GNS geographic database, its summit is only about 109 m above sea level with a local prominence of about 15 m above the surrounding terrain and a base width of about 1.1 km; the surrounding land is mostly flat, so the hill rises only slightly above the Banten lowlands. The nearest recorded high point is named Gunung Gede at about 1,012 m — a local height, distinct from the far taller Gede volcano in West Java — about 17.7 km to the southeast. The area is very densely populated (about 683 people/km²), with the nearest larger town, Rangkasbitung, about 16.7 km to the west, and hilly ground fairly common nearby. The surroundings are almost entirely forested. Its climate is tropical rainforest: mean temperature about 24 °C (hottest September ~25 °C, coldest February ~22 °C) and annual rainfall around 3,471 mm (wettest February ~429 mm, driest September ~116 mm). No hiking trail, tourism coverage, or specific local record could be found for this hill; this profile is compiled from open geographic databases (Wikidata, GeoNames-derived Cebuano Wikipedia, and OpenStreetMap), and its data limitations are stated plainly.
