Description

Nuaf Oelbona is a non-volcanic hill rising 152 metres above sea level on the island of Timor in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), Indonesia. The word 'Nuaf' (also written 'Noef') comes from the Dawan or Uab Meto language — the native tongue of communities in Central and West Timor — meaning mountain or hill. Place names prefixed 'Nuaf' are common across West Timor, referring to the scattered hills of the East Nusa Tenggara interior. The coordinates of Nuaf Oelbona (9°36′S, 123°47′E) place it in the southern part of West Timor. Public information about Nuaf Oelbona is very limited; no Wikipedia article or verified hiking reports have been found for this hill.
