Description
Nevado de Santa Isabel, also called Poleka Kasue, is a volcano in Colombia’s Cordillera Central within Los Nevados National Natural Park. Wikidata lists an elevation of 4,945 m. Conejeras offers a high-altitude walk toward former glacier terrain; a summit ascent is a separate undertaking. Older climbing accounts document ice that has since changed, so historical photographs and schedules do not guarantee conditions during a visit. Follow the park’s current access requirements.

Routes
Puncak Santa Isabel via El Cisne — catatan pendakian 2021
Pendakian es bertali pada laporan / Roped ice climbing in the accountViajando Somos Dos documents acclimatisation toward Laguna Verde and an overnight stay at El Cisne before a night departure toward the central summit. The party used ice equipment and two rope teams. This is a historical route reference; park authorities and the guide must reassess access and glacier conditions.

Pendakian dataran tinggi / High-altitude hikingPantágora’s programme begins with a 4x4 transfer to Conejeras at roughly 4,100 m. Distance and time are the operator’s estimates for a return walk toward the glacier-remnant area, rather than the full summit. The turnaround depends on conditions and the guide’s decision.
SourceClimbing Experiences
Viajando Somos Dos’s 2021 account distinguishes acclimatisation, a night ascent and roped glacier travel. Revista La Piola adds a three-summit traverse published in 2020, including unstable rock. Both are historical accounts. Pantágora’s programme describes a day walk from Conejeras; three videos provide creators’ perspectives, on visiting the mountain.
