Description

Mount Stirling (1,749 m) is a subalpine peak in Victoria’s Victorian Alps, part of the Great Dividing Range in Australia. The Summit Loop starts at Telephone Box Junction and forms an approximately 13 km circuit that takes about five hours; the grade 3 route passes Bluff Spur Hut and Cricket Pitch Shelter, with steeper ground on the optional summit spur. It crosses mountain forest and subalpine vegetation before opening to views across the Australian Alps. In winter, snow changes trail conditions and walking may require snowshoes; check the resort manager’s current trail map, access information, and closures before setting out.
