Description
Mount Scenery (887 m) on the tiny island of Saba is the highest point of the entire Kingdom of the Netherlands — a potentially active volcanic lava dome that is the pride of the Caribbean Netherlands. Its summit is cloaked in a damp, often mist-shrouded elfin cloud forest. The classic route, the Mount Scenery Trail, climbs from the village of Windwardside up its famous ~1,064 stone steps through increasingly dense tropical forest toward the top; the hike usually takes about 2–3 hours round trip. On a clear day the view stretches across the Caribbean Sea to neighbouring islands such as Sint Eustatius, Saint Kitts and Sint Maarten, though the summit clouds often roll in quickly.

Routes
Mount Scenery Trail (Windwardside → Puncak)
Menantang-sedangThe classic route climbs from Windwardside village up about 1,064 legendary stone steps, through increasingly dense tropical forest to the elfin cloud forest at the 887 m summit — the highest point of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The steps can be very slippery when wet and the summit is often clouded.

SedangFrom near the main trail, Saba's network of paths managed by the Saba Conservation Foundation offers connections such as routes toward the coast and other ridges, allowing variations beyond the direct steps-to-summit route.
