Description
Mount Baker (3,286 m) is an active stratovolcano in the North Cascades of Washington State, USA — the third-highest peak in Washington and the northernmost volcano in the conterminous United States. Known as Koma Kulshan by the Lummi people. Its two most popular glacier routes — Coleman-Deming and Easton Glacier — make it a premier introductory mountaineering objective, combining glacier travel, crevasse navigation, and summit ambition in a two-day climb.

Climbing Experiences
Mount Baker in Washington's North Cascades is one of the most iconic 'glaciated volcanoes' in the US — the most popular introductory mountaineering objective in North America. Both the Coleman-Deming and Easton Glacier routes require two days, basic glacier travel skills, and standard glacier gear. Climbers highlight crevasses that change year to year, mandatory roping-up on the glacier, and extraordinary summit views stretching to Puget Sound and Canada.
