Description

Monte Pissis is an inactive stratovolcano in the Argentine Andes, on the Catamarca–La Rioja boundary. This profile uses the Wikidata elevation of 6,795 m; video titles and older reports may give different figures. An operator itinerary through Fiambalá combines acclimatization climbs, equipment carries, two high camps and a weather reserve day. The Distant Peak trip report illustrates cold forcing climbers to turn back and camp water freezing. A 2026 solo account on SummitPost adds a southern approach and navigation across multiple summits.
