Description

Monk's Cowl is a 3,229 m basalt peak in the Central Drakensberg, KwaZulu-Natal. The same name identifies the reserve and trailhead below it. Walks to the Sphinx and Blind Man’s Corner explore the reserve, while the actual summit requires technical rock climbing. A Vertical Endeavour ascent account reports wet rock, mist and an approach previously blocked by ice. Wikidata confirms the mountain identity, country, coordinates and image; elevation comes from Wikipedia because P2044 is absent.
